Volodymyr Lytvyn accepted the Death of Viktor Chernomyrdin as the Loss of his Near Relation
"It is a loss for Russia and those people who were acquainted with Viktor Stepanovych and had a possibility to speak with him," Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, declared, asked about his response to the news concerning death of Viktor Chernomyrdin, former Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Ukraine. "I accepted the death of Viktor Chernomyrdin as a loss of my near relation. I was acquainted with him, we have met and talked informally and in his family circle," V.Lytvyn stated.
Viktor Chernomyrdin is reputed to have made a substantial contribution to the post-Soviet Russia. He demanded that the authorities assumed responsibility for their countries. He was also among those people who succeeded in a complex and utterly responsible work. The Head of the Parliament stated that Viktor Chernomyrdin managed to support adequate relations between Ukraine and Russia. "Viktor Chernomyrdin resolutely repulsed those who tried to cause quarrels between our nations. This aspect of his activity will be duly appreciated," V.Lytvyn declared.
